Refund Policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026
Draft placeholder. This is the real, decided policy (Decision T5) written out as customer-facing copy for the first time — it is not yet reviewed by a lawyer. It must be reviewed before this page is relied on for a real disputed refund, the same open item already flagged on the Terms of Service page.

1. The 14-Day Guarantee

If you're not happy with a Pro subscription or a Lifetime purchase, you can request a full refund within 14 days of the payment date. No specific reason is required — "it wasn't for me" is a fine answer.

2. What Voids It — Fair Use

The 14-day window exists so you can genuinely try epochai, not so content can be scraped or server compute consumed for free. A refund request may be declined if your account shows unusually heavy use of graded code/SQL submissions or the sandbox execution environment during the window — activity well beyond what a learner working through lessons at a normal pace would generate.

In practice this is judged case by case by a real person on request, not by an automated cutoff — there is no published numeric limit, since the fair-use line is intentionally set from real usage patterns after launch rather than guessed at in advance. If your request is declined for this reason, you'll be told why.

3. What Refunds Cover

4. How To Request One

Refunds are handled by a real person, not a self-service button in the app. Email support@epochai.in with the email address on your account and the reason for the request (even a short one). You'll get a decision by email — most requests are resolved within a few business days.

Prefer a form? Use the support page and pick "General feedback" — mention it's a refund request in the message.

You can also reach us this way for a subscription paid through Google Play — we'll point you to Google Play's own refund flow, since that payment runs through their system, not ours.

5. Where This Fits With Everything Else

This page is the "our own refund policy" referenced in Terms of Service §4. A subscription paid through the Android app (Google Play Billing) is instead covered by Google Play's own refund policy, not this one — which platform you paid through determines which policy applies, not which platform you're using right now.
